How to Login to Facebook Using a Computer

2. In the upper-right corner of the Facebook homepage, you will see a field labeled "Email or Phone." Enter the email address that you used to create your Facebook account into this field.

- If you have a phone number associated with your account, you can log in using that phone number instead of your email address.
3. Below the email or phone field, you will see a field labeled "Password." Enter the password that you created for your Facebook account in this field.
- If you have forgotten your password, click on the "I forgot my password" link located below the sign-in fields.
4. You will have the option to stay logged in by checking the "Keep me logged in" box. If you are using your own personal computer, you may want to keep this box checked so that you will be automatically logged in to Facebook in the future. However, if you are using a public or shared computer, it is recommended that you leave this box unchecked for privacy reasons.
5. Once you have entered your email or phone, password, and made your selection for staying logged in, click the "Log In" button. If you have login verification enabled, you will need to enter the code that Facebook sends to your phone to complete the login process. Once the login process is complete, you will be taken directly to your Facebook news feed.
How to Login to Facebook Using a Mobile Device
To log into Facebook using a mobile device with an existing account, follow these steps:
1. Download the Facebook app: You can download the Facebook app from your phone's app store, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Most smartphones and tablets are compatible with the app. This app will allow you to log into your Facebook account without having to use a browser, making it more convenient for you to access your account.
2. Open the app: Once you have downloaded the app, find it on the home screen of your phone and tap on it to open it.
3. Enter your email and password: When you first open the app, you will be asked to enter your Facebook account email address and password. Make sure to use the email address that you used when you created your Facebook account. How to Get 2-Factor Authentication on Facebook
Two-factor authentication enhances Facebook account security besides a password. It requires a special login code or confirmation for logins from unfamiliar browsers/devices. To enable/manage 2FA:
- Go to Security and Login Settings.
- Scroll down to "Use two-factor authentication" and tap Edit.
- Choose a security method: security key, 3rd-party authentication app, or text message (SMS).
- Follow on-screen instructions.
- 10 recovery login codes are available if phone access is unavailable.
